Am home now and I’m still thinking about the death penalty. Anyway, i decided to wiki ‘Heroin’ to see whats sooo horrendous about it. It is pretty horrendous. It is a faster acting version of morphine. To think it was actually sold over the counter less than 100 years ago.
It comes from this sweet looking Opium Poppy.

Doesn’t the word ‘Poppy’ sound familiar? It can be found in the Wizard of Oz where the magical field of poppies caused Dorothy and the Lion to fall asleep, due to their poisonous stench.
As I look at the picture of the flower, I realised that it soo looks like Ikea’s flower stickers that me and my sis bought some time ago to paste on our walls.

We bought it because it looked so pretty. Definately a case of ‘more than meets the eye’. Apparently, poppies are used as symbols of sleep and death. I think it is a genius idea for Ikea to come up with poppy stickers to paste in the bedroom.
Somehow, the word ‘Poppy’ which i thought sounded quite cute sounds quite sinister now.
K bye.
